ABOUT LABORATORY AND RESEARCH

Our laboratory focuses on environmental health and intracellular gases in chronic clinical infections. The major research interest of the laboratory is WHO priority group bacterial infections including Tuberculosis, HIV-TB, and TB-Diabetes.  The group focuses on One Health approaches to study human health, nutrition, bioenergetics, mitochondrial health, and immunometabolism. A recent thrust area is to address the Institutional and National requirements to investigate emerging and re-emerging infections, including COVID-19, mucormycosis, new diagnostics, and therapeutics for improved healthcare. The group also focus on sustainable biosafety and biosecurity practices.
